Meet Tim! The newest addition to our team
Meet Tim — the newest member of our Found & Fixed family!
With 25 years of repair experience and skills passed down from his father, Tim has jumped right into our world of restoration. His journey began in college when he restored a baby grand piano with the help of a 91-year-old piano builder who shared stories, wisdom, and a finishing formula Tim still uses today.
From piano restoration to window displays in Manhattan to custom furniture design, Tim brings a deep respect for craftsmanship to every project. We’re so excited to have him on the team!
A step by step guide to refinishing!
One of our instagram followers asked us if we could give them a step-by-step guide and product recommendations on how to refinish a pair of vintage night stands.
While some people tell us that it’s bad business to share how the sausage gets made, we say poo poo to that. The more people that rehab furniture, the more our mission is effected in the world.
So here it is! Our guide to how to refinish furniture at home.

An interview with our summer youth employee
This summer we participated in Ulster County’s Summer Youth Employment program and hosted a local high school student for five weeks. We sat down with our youth employee to learn what it was like to work with Found and Fixed this summer.
In the world of business finance, $300k is nothing, but to our Hudson Valley furniture business, it’s everything. This funding means that we get a check to do all of the things that we’ve imagined doing as a co-op in upstate NY, and it also means that an outside party is holding us accountable (and coaching us!) to hit our goals.
